Shonta Kennedy

Shonta Kennedy is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in external relations and coordination. Currently serving as the External Relations Coordinator and previously as the External Affairs Coordinator at the Cleveland Rape Crisis Center since January 2014, Shonta has developed strong relationship-building and communication skills, frequently engaging with diverse audiences at various events. Prior roles include Coordinator at the Cleveland Clinic, where Shonta enhanced patient navigation through empathetic customer service and problem-solving, and a Performance Improvement Intern at The Centers for Families and Children, focusing on policy analysis and project management. Early career experiences include internships with the Office of Congresswoman Marcia L. Fudge and U.S. Senator Sherrod Brown, where Shonta gained valuable insights into the legislative process and government relations. Shonta holds a Master’s Degree in Public Administration from The University of Akron and a Bachelor’s Degree in Sociology from Cleveland State University.
