Don Coffey

Chief Science Officer at Cleveland Whiskey

Don Coffey has a diverse work experience spanning over several decades. Don started their career at The Dow Chemical Company, where they spent 22 years in various research and commercial roles in the Specialty Chemical group. Don then joined MGP Ingredients as the VP of Innovation and later became the Executive Vice President, responsible for leading Research, Development, and Innovation. Don also worked at DGC Squared Consulting as the President and at EDGE Ingredients as a Member of the Board of Directors. Currently, they hold the position of Chief Science Officer at Cleveland Whiskey and also serves as a Member of the Board of Directors.

Don Coffey completed their undergraduate studies at the University of Massachusetts Amherst from 1977 to 1979, earning a Master of Science degree in Food Science. Following that, they pursued their Ph.D. in Food Science at Michigan State University, where they studied from 1982 to 1985.
