Paul Burridge

Paul Burridge has a diverse work experience in academic and research settings. Paul is currently working at Northwestern University - The Feinberg School of Medicine as an Associate Professor of Pharmacology, a role they have held since June 2022. Prior to this position, they served as an Assistant Professor of Pharmacology at the same institution from August 2015 to June 2022.

In 2021, they co-founded Clever Carnivore and currently holds the position of Co-Founder and CSO.

Before joining Northwestern University, Paul Burridge worked at Stanford University. Paul served as an Instructor in Cardiovascular Medicine at the Stanford Cardiovascular Institute from September 2013 to July 2015. Prior to that, they were a Postdoctoral Research Fellow in Stem Cell Biology at Stanford University from July 2011 to August 2013.

From September 2008 to June 2011, they were a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the Institute for Cell Engineering at Johns Hopkins University. During this time, they developed protocols for human cardiomyocyte differentiation from human pluripotent stem cells and contributed to research in blood differentiation protocols, hiPSC generation from cord blood, and pluripotent culture media.

Earlier in their career, Paul Burridge worked as a Research Assistant at the University of Manchester in 2002 and at the Wellcome Trust Sanger Institute from 2001 to 2002.

Overall, Paul Burridge has gained extensive experience in pharmacology, cardiovascular medicine, stem cell biology, and research.

Paul Burridge earned their PhD in Human Development from the University of Nottingham, where they studied from 2003 to 2008.
