Carlos Alvarez-Iglesias has a diverse work experience. Carlos started their career as a Founder & Managing Director at Knowledge Investors in 2005, where they invested in early-stage, deep-tech startups. Carlos then joined the KIMbcn Foundation in 2013 as a Marketing Director. Carlos also served as a Member of the Board at MiWEndo Solutions, a company developing a medical device for colorectal cancer detection, and as a Co-founder and Member of the Board at Innitius, a technology company. Carlos Alvarez-Iglesias has a diverse education history. Carlos first attended Georgetown University from 1991 to 1993, where they obtained a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration. In 1993, they pursued further education at the Universidad Pontificia Comillas and completed a Master's degree in European Studies in 1994. Additionally, Carlos spent a brief period in 1991 at The American University of Paris and Saint Louis University in 1989-1990, although no specific degrees or fields of study are mentioned for these institutions.

Later, in 1998-2000, Carlos attended Sciences Po, where they earned a Master's degree in Market Research & Marketing Strategy. Continuing their pursuit of knowledge, Carlos obtained several certifications.
