Crystal Benjamin-Bafford has held various roles throughout their career. Crystal worked at Clever Devices as a Strategic Product Operations Director, leading and mentoring a team of technical product managers and specialists. Crystal also developed and implemented the BI Product Line Roadmap and supported sales and marketing efforts. Prior to that, they were a Product Manager at Clever Devices, where they created a business plan for a new product and led a cross-functional team to bring it to market. Crystal also revitalized an existing planning software platform.

Crystal was an Independent Consultant in 2016 and provided their expertise to different clients. Crystal also worked at Quality Vision International as a Project Manager, overseeing the implementation of CloudSuite Industrial Software and managing the development of the Document Management System.

Before that, Crystal served as the Director of Planning at RTS, where they established the Service Planning Department and created the Service Development Plan. Crystal also held the position of Manager of Transportation Analysis at Rochester Genesee Regional Transportation Authority and worked as a Capital Projects / Long-Range Planner at Pierce Transit. Crystal began their career as a Transportation Planner at the University of Washington.

Crystal Benjamin-Bafford, MPPA, PMP, CSPO, holds a Master's degree in Policy and Public Administration from Northwestern University, which they obtained from 2012 to 2014. Prior to that, they earned a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in City/Urban, Community and Regional Planning from the University of Washington between 1999 and 2002.

In addition to their educational background, Crystal has also obtained several certifications. Crystal is a certified Maxwell Leadership Certified Coach, Trainer, and Speaker from the MAXWELL LEADERSHIP CERTIFICATION PROGRAM, having achieved this certification in March 2023. Furthermore, Crystal holds the Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO) certification from Scrum Alliance, which they obtained in December 2019. Lastly, they are a certified Project Management Professional from the Project Management Institute, having obtained this certification in December 2016.
