Pau Villegas Tres

Pau Villegas Tres has a diverse and extensive work experience in the field of automation and controls engineering.

Pau started their career as a Becario at UPC in 2013.

Pau then worked at ISELEC, S.L. as a Programador de PLCs y SCADAs from April 2014 to January 2015.

Pau joined ADASOFT in 2015 and held various roles including Automation Engineer, PLC/SCADA Programmer, and later, as a Senior Automation Engineer and Project Manager. At ADASOFT, they were responsible for project supervision, compliance, and client communication. Pau managed the full project life cycle from quotation writing to after-sales support. Pau gained expertise in a wide range of technologies including PLCs, SCADAs, industrial networks, DBs/Reporting, scripting, virtualization tools, and business intelligence tools.

In 2018, Pau joined GTD where they served as a Senior Automation Engineer, Lead Controls Engineer (Renewable Energy), and later became the WinCC OA Group Leader. Pau contributed significantly to the development of instrumentation and control projects within the ITER project. Additionally, they led the design and implementation of the Haliade-X wind turbine in collaboration with GE Renewable Energy, including the creation of a requirements management tool and development of a controls library in Matlab-Simulink.

Currently, Pau works at Cleverdist as a WinCC OA Project Manager and Developer/Controls Engineer since February 2023.
