Dr. Ben Cipollini

Dr. Ben Cipollini has a long and varied work experience. Dr. Ben began their career in 2005 as a Teaching Assistant and Research Assistant at the University of California at San Diego. In 2008, they became the Owner & Operator of QuickOwl LLC, and also worked as a Ph.D Candidate at UC San Diego. In 2012, they were a Summer Intern at Brain Corporation. From 2013-2016, they worked at Learning Equality as a Software Development Lead and Implementations Liaison. In 2016, they moved to Classy.org where they held the roles of Director of Data Science and Engineering Manager. In 2019, they joined Facebook as a Data Science Manager and Data Science Lead. In 2021, they became a Technical Due Diligence Advisor at The Clover Group. Currently, they are the Vice President of Software Engineering and Data Science at FluentPet.

Dr. Ben Cipollini's education history began in 1992 when they attended Roxbury Middle School. In 1994, they obtained a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) in Computer Science from Lehigh University, which they completed in 1999. Dr. Ben then attended the University of Washington in 2003 and 2004, studying Psychology. In 2007, they began their Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Cognitive Science with a specialization in Anthropogeny at UC San Diego, which they completed in 2014. In 2019, they obtained a Certified Scrum Product Owner® (CSPO®) certification from the Scrum Alliance.
