Blake Nesbitt

Blake Nesbitt is a Senior Managing Director in the New York office and is the co-head of Cliffwater’s asset management business, responsible for the investment execution of Cliffwater’s registered funds. Blake began his career at Blackstone in the Restructuring and Reorganization Group, working with several corporate and financial institutions experiencing financial distress. He then spent two years as a credit analyst at Taconic Capital, a leading event-driven hedge fund manager.

Prior to joining Cliffwater in 2019, Blake spent six years in private equity at Tinicum Incorporated, where he was responsible for sourcing and executing middle-market buyouts for its $1.6 billion evergreen investment partnership.

He holds a BS in Economics from the Wharton School, the University of Pennsylvania, where he was named a Joseph Wharton Scholar and graduated summa cum laude; and an MBA from the Stanford Graduate School of Business where he was a Siebel Scholar and Arjay Miller Scholar.
