Andrea Arancibia Alfaro currently serves as a Junior Expert at the Bioregions Facility of the European Forest Institute since July 2023, also holding a position as a Research Officer at ClimaTalk since October 2021. Previous roles include a Trainee at the Bioregions Facility of the European Forest Institute and a Project team member for Latin America and the Caribbean at the Global Landscapes Forum from March to November 2022. Andrea has experience as a Research Assistant on the PRODIGY project at the University of Koblenz and Landau, along with research roles at Universidad Nacional Agraria La Molina focused on bamboo value chains. Additional experience includes positions as a Forestry Specialist and Supervisor with GEMA (Servicios Geográficos y Medio Ambiente SAC) and an internship at CICAP. Andrea's academic background includes dual Master of Science degrees in Environmental Sciences from the University of Natural Resources and Life Sciences, Vienna (BOKU) and the University of Hohenheim, as well as a Bachelor's degree in Forestry Sciences from Universidad Nacional Agraria La Molina.
