Sophia Kianni

Founder & President at Climate Cardinals

Sophia Kianni is the Founder & Executive Director of Climate Cardinals, a youth-led climate nonprofit that translates climate information into over 100 languages. Sophia has also worked as the Youngest Advisor to the UN Secretary-General, representing the United States, and served as a co-chair and member of the steering committee for the UNDP and Italian Government on Youth4Climate. In addition, Sophia is the Co-Founder of Phia, a digital fashion platform, and a member of the National Youth Advisory Council for the US Environmental Protection Agency. Sophia has been recognized as a Young Explorer by National Geographic and has spoken at TED Conferences, where they won the Global Idea Search and gave a TED Talk on tackling climate change through language translation. Sophia is also a member of Lady Gaga's Foundation Advisory Board and serves as a 776 Fellow for the 776 Foundation. Sophia is part of the Creative Council for Climate Power.

Sophia Kianni attended Thomas Jefferson High School for Science and Technology from 2016 to 2020, but did not receive a degree or specify a field of study. Sophia is currently pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Science, Technology, and Society at Stanford University, starting in 2021.
