Climate Change Committee
Simon Rayner is an experienced professional in the fields of architecture, data visualization, and public policy, currently serving as an Analyst at the Committee on Climate Change since May 2020 and as an Editor and Data Visualiser at Earth Charts since December 2019. Previous roles include Architect positions at BBA Architects Ltd., Place by Design, Mark Wray Architects, and Alec French Architects, as well as serving as a City Councillor for Bristol City Council. Simon also has a valuable academic background, holding a Master of Arts in Architecture from the University of Cambridge, an MSc in Public Policy from the University of Bristol, and a Diploma in Architecture from The University of Sheffield, complemented by professional qualifications from The Architectural Association School of Architecture.
Climate Change Committee
The Climate Change Committee (CCC) is an independent, statutory body established under the Climate Change Act 2008. Our purpose is to advise the UK Government and Devolved Administrations on emissions targets and report to Parliament on progress made in reducing greenhouse gas emissions and preparing for climate change.
