Kala Marathi

Kala Marathi serves as a Venture Partner at Climate Impact Capital, focusing on investments in technology-driven early-stage companies that aim to accelerate energy transition and mitigate climate change risks. As Co-Founder and Board Member of 7 Hills Pharma, Kala contributes to the development of novel immunotherapies for cancer and infectious diseases. Furthermore, Kala has assumed the role of Executive Director of Innovation and Managing Director of the Cougar Venture Fund at the University of Houston, where responsibilities include managing a venture investment class for MBA students and overseeing the fund's investment process. Additional experience includes serving as Vice President at Skypoint Capital, Co-Chair of the Cybersecurity Committee at Houston Exponential, Managing Director of the Houston Angel Network, and various strategic positions at Reliant Energy and Continental Airlines. Academic credentials include an MBA in Finance and Strategy from The Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth and a BA in Japanese and Economics from Wellesley College.
