Elizabeth Katt Reinders is a dedicated professional in environmental policy and climate advocacy, currently serving as Program Officer for the U.S. Electricity Initiative at Climate Imperative Foundation since May 2023. Previous roles include Deputy Director and Senior Campaign Representative for the Beyond Coal Campaign at Sierra Club from April 2016 to May 2021. Elizabeth has also held leadership positions at Clean Lakes Alliance, Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources, and University of Wisconsin-Madison, contributing to important climate initiatives and research. Educational credentials include a Master of Science in Environmental Studies from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and a Bachelor of Arts in Geography, Geology, and Environmental Studies from Calvin University.

Climate Imperative Foundation's mission is to cut global greenhouse gas emissions at speed and scale — securing a better future for all. Climate Imperative is a 501(c)(3) public charity foundation that partners with experienced on-the-ground organizations to provide capital, technical support, and expertise to inform the most important climate policy decisions in major-emitting countries around the world, in this pivotal decade for the climate. We invest in science-based solutions, focusing on the policy decisions that will have the largest impacts on global greenhouse gas emissions alongside important health, environmental, and equitable economic benefits. Our grants support analysis, education, and action that is fact-based, guided by scientific analysis, and grounded in real-world conditions.
