Antonia Matthies serves as a Climate and Earth Observation Officer at Climate-KIC, focusing on the uptake of Copernicus services and promoting Earth Observation data for climate change initiatives. Previous experience includes roles as an Early Stage Researcher at the IVM Institute for Environmental Studies and TerraNova ITN, where research on Ecosystem Services and agrobiodiversity led to a scientific publication. Additional positions include contributions to the United Nations University, founding the Uni Bonn Missing Maps Project, serving as a Junior Innovation Specialist at Sharkbite Innovation, managing marketing for the Royal Geographical Society in Hong Kong, and conducting independent research for Bain & Company. Antonia Matthies holds a Master of Science in Geography of Environmental Risk and Human Security from the United Nations University and The University of Bonn, along with a Bachelor of Science in Physical Geography from the University of Exeter.
