Elizabeth Benyishay

Elizabeth Benyishay is a seasoned professional in operations and planning, currently serving as the Senior Director at ClimateWorks Foundation since April 2022. Prior to this role, Elizabeth was the Chief of Staff for the New Climate Economy at the World Resources Institute from March 2014 to April 2022, where responsibilities included overseeing project delivery, managing an operations team, and handling budget, fundraising strategy, donor relations, and human resources. Elizabeth's experience also includes positions as Grants and Finance Manager for the New Climate Economy at Eurasia Foundation and Program Officer for the US-Russia Civil Society Partnership Program. Elizabeth began a career in outreach and quality assurance at The Saylor Foundation. Educational credentials include a Master's degree from Georgetown University in Eurasian, Russian, and Eastern European Studies and a Bachelor's degree from Goucher College in Russian, Philosophy, and History, supplemented by language study at Kora Language Institute in Russia.
