Sami Maldonado is currently a Transformative Food Systems Fellow at the University of Michigan - Rackham Graduate School, engaging in an immersive program that explores equitable and ecologically resilient food systems. In addition to this role, Sami serves as the Course Coordinator for "Food Literacy for All" at the University of Michigan’s School for Environment and Sustainability, an initiative aimed at fostering community engagement in food systems education. Previous experience includes positions such as Operations Coordinator at Minnesota Farmers Union, participating in environmental leadership mentoring at the Mississippi River Network, and working as a Days Staff Member at Mill City Farmers Market. Sami holds a Bachelor of Science in Sustainable Agriculture & Food Systems from the University of Minnesota and is pursuing a Master of Science in Environment & Sustainability at the University of Michigan.
