Scott Thiel has held various engineering and leadership roles throughout their career. Scott served as the Vice President of Engineering, Research and Development at CLIMAX Portable Machining & Welding Systems from May 2017 to June 2018, and then again from June 2018 to April 2019 in the role of VP of Operations & Engineering, Research and Development. Prior to this, they were the Director of Engineering, Research and Development at CLIMAX from June 2015 to February 2017. Scott also worked as the Chief Engineer at FINEX Cast Iron Cookware Co. from November 2013 to January 2017, Chief Engineer at Lokar Performance from June 2012 to April 2015, VP of Engineering at Williams Controls from April 2004 to June 2012, and Product Development Engineer at Tyco Electronics from 1999 to 2005. Scott Thiel has a strong background in engineering and leadership roles across multiple industries.
Scott Thiel completed their high school education at Newberg High School from 1981 to 1985, earning a high school diploma with a focus on general studies. Following this, they pursued higher education at the Oregon Institute of Technology, where they studied from 1985 to 1990. During this time, they obtained a bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering Technology, specializing in the field of engineering.
