Preeti Shanker

Preeti joined ClimeCo in 2021 as an independent consultant on ESG projects and subsequently transitioned to Manager of Sustainability Strategy and Impact. She brings a decade of cross-functional, multi-regional experience working with organizations of all shapes and sizes, including Fortune 500 corporations, multilateral organizations, nonprofit foundations, and small and medium enterprises. Preeti has expertise in helping clients with their ESG strategy, materiality assessments, governance roadmap, ESG metrics, ratings and ranking, and sustainability reporting and impact.

A corporate lawyer by training, Preeti worked with the Tata Group of companies in India as in-house legal counsel before pivoting to the world of sustainability. She has since worked with clients in various sectors, helping them develop pragmatic solutions that create long-term shared value.

Preeti earned her Master’s in Sustainability Management from Columbia University and holds a Bachelor’s degree in Law from Mumbai University and a Master’s degree in Business Law from National Law School of India University.
