Lori Selden

Senior Program Manager at Clinical and Laboratory Standards Institute

Lori Selden has over 35 years of work experience. Lori began their career in 1984 as a Medical Technologist at Michigan Clinical Labs. Lori then worked as a Research Assistant for the State Legislative Service Bureau from 1989 to 1991. In 1991, they became a Medical Technologist at St. Lawrence Hospital, where they worked until 1998. From 1998 to 1999, they were a Medical Technologist/Microbiologist at Sparrow Health Systems, where they were trained in urines cultures, non-urine/non-fecal cultures, enteric cultures, anaerobes, virology, MicroScan, and specimen processing, and continued weekend and holiday rotation per diem after employment with DCPAH in January 1999. In 1999, they became a Bacteriology Laboratory Manager at MSU Diagnostic Center. Since 2014, they have been a Senior Project Manager at Clinical and Laboratory Standards Institute.

Lori Selden obtained their B.S in Medical Technology from Michigan Technological University between 1979 and 1983. Lori then went on to receive Certification in Clinical Laboratory Science and Clinical Laboratory Science from Hurley Medical Center School of Medical Technology between 1983 and 1984. Finally, they earned their Master of Science in Clinical Laboratory Science from Michigan State University between 2008 and 2011.
