Margarita Galen is an experienced professional currently serving as an Innovation Advisor and International Relations at CliniClowns since June 2020, focusing on program implementation for enhanced social impact and fostering international collaboration. As a Board Member and Treasurer for the European Federation of Healthcare Clown Organizations since January 2017, Margarita contributes to the organization’s development and financial stability. Margarita has been a Feldenkrais practitioner since January 2003, emphasizing improved physical and mental well-being through the Feldenkrais method. Previously, Margarita held the position of Head of Training at Stichting miMakkus from October 2014 to May 2020, pioneering care approaches for individuals with mental disabilities using clowning techniques. Earlier in the career, Margarita contributed to the artistic and operational management of ROTE NASEN Clowndoctors during its inception in Austria. Educational qualifications include a Master’s degree in Drama History, Comparative Literature, and Philosophy from the University of Vienna and certification as a Feldenkrais Teacher from MBS Academy.

Zieke en gehandicapte kinderen worden vaak geconfronteerd met hun gebreken, met wat ze níet kunnen. CliniClowns focust zich op de kwaliteiten van elk kind. Door met ze te spelen creëren we tijdelijk een omgeving zonder beperkingen. Van daaruit ontstaan verrassende situaties die de fantasie en creativiteit van kinderen én hun omgeving prikkelen. Zieke en gehandicapte kinderen zijn dan gewoon vooral weer even kind. En de mensen om hen heen biedt het de mogelijkheid daarvan te genieten en even te ontspannen.
