Dr. Ihor Gussak is clinical (cardiovascular) consultant for pharmaceutical and medical devices industries specializing in the early stages of clinical research and cardiac safety, including cardiac safety pharmacology of cardiac and non-cardiac investigational drugs, licensing opportunities, pre-clinical research, translational medicine, cardiac telemonitoring, and clinical trials. His major scientific interests are in clinical and experimental cardiac electrophysiology and electrocardiology, hereditary and acquired cardiac channelopathies, including Brugada, early repolarization, long and short QT syndromes, cardiac iatrogenicity, and acute and chronic heart failures.
Dr. I. Gussak holds an academic appointment as Clinical Professor of Medicine at Rutgers University, New Brunswick, NJ. His contributions to the scientific literature include 7 books, 19 book chapters, and over 80 original peer-review manuscripts.
