Mary Hicks

Mary Hicks has diverse work experience in the field of laboratory and data management. Mary started their career as an Independent Contractor at the US Environmental Protection Agency in 2005, where they were responsible for preparing and analyzing soil, vegetation, and air samples for physical and chemical properties. Mary utilized techniques such as Ion Chromatography, UV/VUS Spectrometry, and Gravimetry to gather data for specific studies. Mary then moved on to work as a User Support Liaison at SRA International, Inc from September 2007 to August 2010, where they provided support to labs conducting Toxicology Studies for the National Toxicology Program. Mary'sresponsibilities included answering specific questions related to installation, operation, configuration, customization, and usage of TDMSE and/or LDAS II workstations, as well as investigating and resolving failures in Update/Receive, TDMSE applications, and LDAS II workstations. Following this, they joined Indus Corporation as an Operations Research Analyst from August 2010 to August 2013, where their duties remained similar to their previous role. Mary then joined Vistronix as a Liaison II/Research Support Specialist in August 2013. In this role, they provided support for TDMSE and LDAS LIMS systems, offering assistance with installation, operation, configuration, customization, and usage of these workstations. Mary also worked on investigating causes and resolving failures in Update/Receive, TDMSE applications, and LDAS II workstations. Most recently, Mary worked at Clinisys as a Principal Support Specialist from January 2014, where they provided support for On-Premise implementations of the HORIZON LIMS application. Mary collaborated with team members to resolve LIMS application related issues or questions and worked with third-party vendors when needed to provide support to customers.

Mary Hicks received their High School Diploma from J.F. Webb High School in 2000. Mary then went on to attend Chowan University from 2000 to 2005, where they obtained a Bachelor's degree in Environmental Biology.
