Zahir Mawji

Zahir Mawji has extensive work experience in the medical field. Zahir started their career in 2008 at Basingstoke and North Hampshire Foundation Trust as a Trainee BMS and multi-disciplinary BMS. From 2010 to 2017, they worked at The Doctors Laboratory, where they served as a Biomedical Scientist and later became a Senior BMS in Blood Transfusion. Zahir'sresponsibilities included overseeing the day-to-day operations of the Transfusion laboratory, staff training, and conducting investigations of incidents. In 2017, Zahir joined Harefield Hospital as a Senior BMS in Blood Transfusion and also took on an additional role as the Deputy Chief of Pathology. Zahir supervised and organized the activities of the Transfusion laboratory, managed staff, and maintained stock levels. Since 2018, Zahir has been working at CliniSys as a Pathology Software Tester and is currently serving as a Product Specialist.

Zahir Mawji's education history begins with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biomedical Sciences, General, which they obtained from the University of Greenwich from 2004 to 2007. This was followed by a Master of Science (MSc) degree in Biomedical Sciences, General, which they pursued at Ulster University from 2012 to 2014.

In between their Bachelor's and Master's degrees, Zahir completed a Specialist Certificate in Hospital Transfusion Science from The University of Manchester from 2015 to 2017. This certificate was obtained through the British Blood Transfusion Society.

Furthermore, Zahir Mawji has acquired additional certifications to complement their education. In 2010, they obtained a Certificate of Competence from the Institute of Biomedical Science. Later, in 2016, they received the Standard First Aid, CPR, and AED certification from the British Red Cross in November 2019.
