Simon Alsop

Simon Alsop is the current treasurer at Clinks, and they have also previously worked at the company in a variety of different capacities. Simon has also worked at ICAEW as the head of business. In this role, they were responsible for developing and delivering the ICAEW business member strategy and activity to increase engagement with ICAEW members in business (in the UK and globally). Simon also used their experience as a finance director to identify and disseminate best practice for CFOs and FDs, determining and delivering strategy and commercial revenue streams.

Some of Simon's notable accomplishments include developing and delivering strategy, providing business subject matter expertise to inform strategy and product development, delivering ICAEW's business-focused special interest groups and communities strategy, identifying new sector opportunities, setting strategy, defining the value proposition, setting KPIs and planning activity including collaboration with other bodies, and pioneering new engagement channels. Simon also produced ICAEW's most successful podcast and most viewed business website content.

In addition to their work at ICAEW, Simon has also been responsible for managing the planning, marketing and delivery of flagship conferences and events for Clinks. Simon has also been involved in gathering and promoting business member opinion in the press and public policy consultations, and they have represented ICAEW by speaking at conferences and chairing roundtable discussions.

Simon Alsop has an ACA from ICAEW and a Business Studies degree from Kingston University. Simon is also certified by ICAEW in FCA.
