Owen Yaa Baya

Owen Yaa Baya has extensive experience in education, management, and public service. Currently serving as a Member of Parliament in the National Assembly of Kenya since August 2017, Owen also holds the position of Development and Education Professional Affiliate at the Clinton Foundation since April 2013. At Pwani University, Owen has served as Senior Assistant Registrar and lecturer in Economics and Planning since May 2009, leveraging expertise in strategic planning and general management. Previous roles include Deputy Principal at Coast Institute of Technology from January 2003 to April 2009 and Boarding Master at Kenyatta H. School from January 1997 to December 2002. Owen's academic qualifications include a Hubert Humphrey Fellowship in Public and Higher Education Administration from Penn State University, along with degrees in Human Resource Management, Higher Education Management, and a Master of Education in Economics and Planning from Kenyatta University.
