Kennedy Gayah began their career in 2017 as a Finance Assistant at the National Aids Control Council, where they developed monthly aging reports for payables and facilitated financial management of 18 Regional and 290 Sub-county decentralized units. In 2018 and 2019, they continued in this role. In 2019, they joined PwC as a Senior Accounts Payable, Costs & Treasury Accountant. In this role, they oversaw process of supplier payments, supplier invoicing and P2P reporting for three PwC Kenya legal entities, supported the business in procurement process under order management, oversaw staff accounts for over 500 Staff, and managed corporate cards for over 40 Partners and Directors. Kennedy also served as a Finance P2P Specialist, and Digital Accelerator, where they had a basic understanding of big data and the different techniques being used in business to help make data driven decisions. In 2022, they joined Rotary International as an Advisor & Member of the Singapore 2024 Convention Committee, and Clipboard Health as a Cash Operations Consultant. From 2018-2022, they also held various roles at Rotaract, including President & Secretary of the Board of Directors - Rotaract Africa, District Rotaract Representative, RID 9212 Membership Director, RID 9212 Assistant District Rotaract Representative, and Chairperson - RID 9212 Rotaract @ Work.
Kennedy Gayah has a comprehensive education history. In 2010, Kennedy graduated from Kanga High School with a Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education. From 2014 to 2018, Kennedy completed the Certified Public Accountants Qualification at KASNEB. In 2015, Kennedy earned a Bachelor of Commerce (BCom) in Finance from the University of Nairobi. In 2021, Kennedy obtained a Digital Acumen certification from PwC. In 2022, Kennedy completed a Business Analytics Nanodegree from Udacity and an ACCA Part Qualification in Accounting and Finance from ACCA. Additionally, Kennedy has obtained a number of certifications from institutions such as Kubicle, PwC, Copenhagen Business School, Northwestern University Medill School, West Virginia University, and Northwestern University - Kellogg School of Management.
