J. Ernest Doering has a diverse work experience spanning various industries. J. Ernest started their career as an Engineer/Appropriate Technologist at Mennonite Central Committee in 1994, where they worked until 1996. J. Ernest then joined Bell Labs Lucent Technologies/Agere Systems as a Laser Chip Fabrication Process Engineer from 2000 to 2002. From 2003 to 2006, they served as the Manager of Vocational Training Center at Mennonite Central Committee. In 2006, they joined Clippard Instrument Laboratory as a Design Engineer and worked there until 2012. In 2012, they pursued an IMBA degree at IE Business School. J. Ernest returned to Clippard Instrument Laboratory in 2014, holding roles such as Vice President International & Innovation and currently serving as the Chief Operating Officer.
J. Ernest Doering completed their Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering from Messiah University, where they studied from 1989 to 1993. J. Ernest then pursued further education and earned a Master of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from Northwestern University, from 1998 to 2000. In 2012, J. Ernest Doering attended IE Business School to acquire a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) with a focus on International Business, which they successfully completed in 2013.
