Michelle Cooney is an experienced HR professional currently serving as the Group People & Culture Manager at Cliste Hospitality since March 2024. In this role, Michelle provides dedicated support to group managers to enhance their team leadership and people management skills, fostering a culture of growth and development. Prior to this, Michelle held the position of HR Manager at Dunnes Stores from November 2018 to March 2024, where responsibilities included overseeing payroll tasks, managing forecasting and budgeting practices, and implementing new HRIS systems. Earlier career experience includes serving as Branch Manager at Enterprise Rent-A-Car from March 2014 to November 2018, coordinating various HR functions, managing recruitment and onboarding, and ensuring adherence to payroll policies. Michelle holds a BA in Economics with a minor in Psychology from University College Cork and an Assoc. CIPD in Learning & Development from the National Institute of Public Administration.
