Sean Smith has extensive work experience in the sales and marketing field. Sean currently serves as the Chief Sales Officer (CSO) at Clopay Corporation since 2022. Prior to this, they held the role of Chief Commercial Officer (CCO) at CornellCookson from 2019 to 2022. Before joining CornellCookson, Sean worked at CornellCookson - Cornell Iron Works and The Cookson Company for almost seventeen years, starting as the Vice President Sales & Marketing Communications in 2005. Additionally, Sean also founded and owned The Smith Company, Inc from 1994 to 2006, where they grew the business to become Cornell's top grossing dealer for 11 consecutive years. Their earlier experience includes serving as the General Manager of Northern California at Porvene Door Systems, Inc from 1989 to 1993.

Sean Smith has a background in Business Administration and Management, having studied at the University of Nevada, Reno. Sean also completed a program in Strategic Marketing Management at Harvard Business School in 2014. In addition, Sean Smith received training in Organizational Leadership/Management through the United States Air Force Leadership program, where they obtained a Non-Commissioned Officer degree. Furthermore, they attended Cordova High from 1981 to 1984.
