Rafaela Cavalcanti has worked in a variety of roles since 2012. In 2012, they were a Content Writer Executive at Webart Softech. In 2013, they were a Market development Coordinator at Zhorya Toys. In 2015, they were a Quality Assessment Consulting Project at Staples Europe. In 2019, they were a UN SDSN Youth Fellowship at SDSN Association. In 2021, they became an IMF Youth Fellowship at the International Monetary Fund and a Cartier Women's Initiative Fellowship at Cartier Women's Initiative. In 2018, they became the CEO and Founder of CloQ. In 2021, they were appointed as a Google for Startups Advisor for the SDG program. In 2020, they were awarded a Grant from Fundação Tide Setúbal to increase access to credit to informal and small entrepreneurs in Brazil in order to cope with the financial shock of COVID-19. Rafaela was also one of the five most innovative solutions that are generating a positive socio-environmental impact for SDG1 in the Northeast Region of Brazil.
Rafaela Cavalcanti has a diverse educational background. In 2021-2022, they are currently enrolled in the INSEAD Social Entrepreneurship Programme (ISEP) at INSEAD. From 2014-2015, they obtained a Master's degree in Business Administration and Consulting from Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam (VU Amsterdam). From 2007-2013, they obtained a Bachelor of Business Administration (B.B.A.) in Business Administration from Universidade Federal de Pernambuco. In 2010, they attended Georgetown University for Business. Additionally, in 2019, they obtained a Public Speaking certification from United Netherlands and in 2017, they obtained the JPAL101SPAx: Evaluación de Impacto de Programas Sociales certification from MITx on edX.
