Patrick Somerville-Large

Patrick Somerville-Large has extensive experience in finance and strategy, notably serving as the Head of Strategy and Special Projects for Invoice Finance & Specialty at Close Brothers from September 2014 to January 2023. In this role, responsibilities included supporting the executive committee in strategy development and leading impactful projects. Previously, Patrick participated in Close Brothers' Accelerated Commercial Experience Programme and was part of the inaugural Graduate Scheme, focusing on compliance across various banking functions. Between September 2016 and January 2020, Patrick worked as a Lending Manager at Commercial Acceptances Ltd, managing a loan book exceeding £400 million. Additional experience includes a Corporate Finance Summer Analyst role at JWPCreers LLP and an Analyst position at the University of York, where involvement included managing a student-run fund. Patrick holds a Level 6 Diploma in Investment Compliance from the Chartered Institute for Securities & Investment and a Bachelor of Arts in Politics with International Relations from the University of York.
