Scott Curl

Scott Curl is an accomplished IT risk and governance professional with extensive experience in the finance and investment sectors. Currently serving as the Head of IT Risk and Governance at Close Brothers since September 2020, Scott has previously held significant roles such as Chief Information Security Officer and Head of IT Operational Risk and Compliance at Nordea, and IT Risk Manager at Morgan Stanley. Earlier career positions include Principal Audit Manager at Prudential Assurance, Vice President of Investment Banking IT Audit at JP Morgan, Head of IT Audit at Threadneedle Asset Management, and Head of Business Risk Consulting at Bankers Trust. Scott began the career as a Senior Accountant at Arthur Andersen. Academic qualifications include a Master of Science in Risk Management with Distinction from Birmingham City University, certification as a Certified Practicing Accountant from CPA Australia, and dual bachelor's degrees in Information Systems and Accounting from Monash University.
