Huyen Kiki Vo

Huyen Kiki Vo is a board advisor at Close the Gap Foundation. Huyen has also worked as a web developer at County of Los Angeles - Downey Animal Care Center and as a lead student instructor at Cal State LA College of ECST.

Kiki has always been interested in helping others. This led their to study mathematics and engineering in college so that they could use their skills to make a difference in the world. After graduation, they began working as a web developer, using their skills to create a ticketing system that would help speed up visitor intakes at the Downey Animal Care Center.

While working as a web developer, Kiki also became a lead student instructor at Cal State LA. In this role, they supervised and led a team of five student-instructors. Kiki was also responsible for teaching Trigonometry/Precalculus to incoming college freshmen.

Kiki’s experience in both web development and teaching has given their the skills and knowledge necessary to be an effective board advisor at Close the Gap Foundation. In this role, they provide advice and guidance to the organization so that they can continue their work of providing access to education and opportunities for disadvantaged people around the world.

Huyen Kiki Vo is a computer science major at California State University, Los Angeles. Huyen is currently working towards their Bachelor's degree and plans to graduate within the next few years.
