Jessie Salas

Jessie Salas is an accomplished engineering manager and leader in artificial intelligence and machine learning with extensive experience in both corporate and nonprofit sectors. At Meta since November 2019, Jessie leads teams developing privacy-centric multimodal generative voice AI systems and oversees data engineering projects related to content integrity and security. Additionally, Jessie is the co-founder and executive director of Close The Gap Foundation, promoting STEM career pathways for underserved students. Jessie has held various roles including machine learning engineering manager at Deloitte, founder of Snaptic AI, and co-founder and CTO at Grove. Academic engagement includes serving as a lecturer at the University of California, Berkeley, with a focus on design thinking and entrepreneurship. Jessie holds a Bachelor of Arts in Cognitive Science from the University of California, Berkeley, emphasizing computational modeling and linguistics.
