Sonia Sng

Sonia Sng is currently a Board of Directors at Close the Gap Foundation. Prior to that, they were the Head of Operations at Intuit from April 2018 to December 2020. Sonia was responsible for leading a team of 200+ that was responsible for FinTech Services (Payments, Payroll and banking products) Operations. Sonia was focused on scaling operations while supporting rapid business growth, exceeding KPIs, and advancing operational innovation.

Before their time at Intuit, Sonia spent 18 years at Visa. Sonia started at Visa in August 2000 as the Vice President, Product & Innovation Risk. In this role, they led a team who worked alongside cross-functional stakeholders to co-design and launch high visibility early stage ideas, while ensuring risk is not compromised. Some of the projects they worked on include a Blockchain business-to-business payment solution, authentication products, push payments (Instant funding) and Visa Developer Platform.

Sonia Sng graduated with a Bachelor of Business Studies in Marketing from Nanyang Technological University Singapore. Sonia then went on to complete an Executive Education Program at Columbia University Graduate School of Business.
