Maura O'Brien

Maura O'Brien currently serves as the Director of Communications at Close Up Foundation since January 2011. Previously, O'Brien founded TheLongWeekender.com and held positions as a Contributing Writer for National Journal Magazine and Senior Editor for National Journal Hotline from September 2005 to July 2010. O'Brien began their career as an Editorial Assistant at C-VILLE Weekly in 2002. O'Brien earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in History from the University of Virginia, graduating in January 2005.
