Nate Niemi

Nate Niemi has a strong background in technical management and product development. Nate is currently serving as the VP of Product & CTO at CloseSimple, where they lead the product team in developing communication software and services to enhance the Closing Experience. In this role, Nate is responsible for product research, technology evaluation, and organization security program management.

Prior to their current position, Nate worked at XPAND Corporation as a Technical Director from 2018 to 2021. In this role, they provided technical direction to the organization and managed key client projects involving web-based applications, content management systems, native mobile applications, and public cloud infrastructure. Nate also prioritized the implementation of DevOps principles and supporting technologies.

From 2014 to 2018, Nate was employed at MN.IT Services as a Content Management Systems Architect. Nate was responsible for implementing and maintaining an SDL Tridion Sites content management system that consolidated over 60 websites from various platforms. This implementation improved security, reduced downtime, and lowered costs for the organization.

Nate previously worked at XPAND Corporation as a Regional Technical Solutions Manager from 2003 to 2014.

Nate Niemi started their educational journey in 1999 at Savannah College of Art and Design, where they pursued a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree with a focus on Computer Art. Nate completed this program in 2003. Ten years later, in 2012, they enrolled at Metro State University to obtain a Master of Management Information Systems degree, specializing in Systems Development. Nate successfully completed this program in 2016.
