Lamiaa Amzil

Lamiaa Amzil has been working in the field of data science since 2018, when they began their role as a data scientist at Cloud DX. Prior to this, they were a system designer at Zimmer CAS from 2014-2018, where they were responsible for defining the overall system workflow based on clinical requirements, designing and filling quality documentation related to the development of Patient Specific Instrumentation (PSI) for knee and shoulder replacements, and proceeding to the verification and validation of products including definition of protocols and their execution. In 2013, they were a research intern at both Polystim and NeuroPoly, where they registered images from different modalities, realized semi-automatic segmentations on anatomical images of the spinal cord, and processed functional MRI images by suppressing periodic respiratory and cardiac noises. In 2012, they were a tutor and research intern at École Polytechnique de Montréal, where they supported students of various levels to understand and accomplish their assignments, explained mathematics and physics theory, and prepared additional exercises to insure the comprehension of the key concepts.

Lamiaa Amzil obtained a Bachelor of Engineering (B.Eng.) in Biomedical Engineering from Polytechnique Montréal in 2014. Lamiaa then went on to pursue a Master's Degree in eHealth from McMaster University, which they completed in 2018.
