Simo Niemelä

Simo Niemelä has a diverse work experience spanning different roles and industries. Simo began their career as a Truck Driver at Loomis from May 2010 to November 2012 before joining Kuljetusliike J ja R Laatikainen Ky as a Truck Driver from May 2014 to July 2016. Simo then transitioned to DB Schenker, where they served as a Terminal Supervisor, responsible for coordinating daily terminal operations and leading terminal workers from May 2017 to August 2017. After that, they worked at Alihankkija Oy as a Transport Coordinator, coordinating collection and distribution in the Uusimaa region from May 2018 to August 2018. Simo then returned to DB Schenker and took on various roles, including Transport Coordinator responsible for Eastern Finland food and general cargo transport coordination from May 2019 to August 2020, Project Associate from August 2020 to April 2021, and Project Manager from April 2021 to August 2021. Simo continued their career at Cubiq Analytics, where they worked as a Trainee from September 2021 to March 2022, before being promoted to Junior Consultant from March 2022 to August 2022. Currently, they are a Junior Data Engineer at Cloud1 Oy, starting in August 2022. Simo's roles have involved tasks such as transport coordination, project management, terminal operations, and data engineering.

Simo Niemelä pursued their tertiary education at JAMK University of Applied Sciences from 2016 to 2020, where they obtained a Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Materials, and Supply Chain Management. Simo has also earned multiple certifications, including the following: Microsoft Certified: Azure Data Fundamentals from Microsoft in September 2022, Microsoft Certified: Azure Fundamentals from Microsoft in August 2022, Microsoft Certified: Azure Data Engineer Associate from Microsoft in February 2023, Microsoft Certified: Data Analyst Associate from Microsoft in December 2022, and Academy Accreditation - Databricks Lakehouse Fundamentals from Databricks in September 2022.
