Kohsuke Kawaguchi

Kohsuke Kawaguchi is a Japanese software engineer and the creator of the Jenkins project. Kohsuke is currently an advisor at CloudBees.

Kawaguchi began their career as a Senior Staff Engineer at Sun Microsystems in 2001. In 2004, they created the Hudson project, which was later acquired by Oracle Corporation in 2010. Kawaguchi left Oracle in 2010 to start InfraDNA, Inc., which provided support and consulting for the Hudson product. In 2011, InfraDNA was acquired by CloudBees, and Kawaguchi became the company's Chief Technology Officer. Kohsuke held this position until 2019, when they transitioned to their current role as an advisor.

Kohsuke Kawaguchi has a M.Eng in Computer Science from Cornell University and a BS in Information Science from The University of Tokyo. Kohsuke is also certified by Oracle as a Java Champion and by Scrum Alliance as a Certified Scrum Master.
