Andrea Turli has a diverse work experience spanning over 15 years. Andrea is currently a Principal Software Engineer I at Elastic, starting in 2018. In this role, they work on the Cloud team to develop both the SaaS offering, Elastic Cloud, and the on-premise offering, Elastic Cloud Enterprise. Within the product core team, Andrea participated in the design, development, and review of new features, integration of upstream projects, as well as quality assurance and software build and release processes. Andrea also integrated new cloud computing providers and technologies into AMP and engaged in business development engineering discussions. Before their role as Principal Software Engineer, Andrea served as a Senior Software Engineer and Software Developer at Cloudsoft, working on various projects, proof of concepts, demos, and pre-sales engagements with ISVs and enterprises. Andrea'sfocus was on improving and supporting automated cloud deployment across different public and private cloud providers.

Earlier in their career, Andrea worked at Dell as a Cloud Software Development Consultant from 2011 to 2012, and at Accenture as a Consultant from 2010 to 2011. At Dell, they provided expertise in cloud software development, and at Accenture, they were involved in a Data Center Automation project for Telecom Italia, specifically contributing to the design and implementation of a SLA and reporting platform for Nuvola Italiana, the Telecom Italia Cloud.

Andrea's career started in 2005 at MCC S.p.A as a Project Documentation Support and Control. Andrea then worked at YH Reply SpA as an Analyst Programmer from November 2005 to April 2006. Following that, they joined Engineering - Ingegneria Informatica S.p.A as a Researcher from May 2006 to November 2010. In this role, Andrea was responsible for studying, designing, and implementing security solutions in Grid Computing environments, collaborating with international institutions such as CERN.

Their secondary education took place at Liceo Scientifico from 1994 to 1999, where they focused on sciences.

Apart from their formal education, Andrea also obtained additional certifications. In July 2010, they earned certifications in ITIL® Service Strategy and ITIL® V3 Foundation from EXIN. They further obtained the AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Associate certification from Amazon in September 2017.
