VP & General Manager, Mexico at Clover Imaging Group

Carlos Chavez is the current Vice President and General Manager of Clover Imaging Group in Mexico. Prior to this, they served as Plant Manager at Metex from January 2011 to December 2013. In this role, they were responsible for the leadership, management, and strategic direction of a $42 million manufacturing facility in Tijuana B.C., ensuring safety, quality, productivity, and cost effectiveness while meeting schedule performance and maintaining a work environment according to the company's core values and culture of Mexico. Carlos led a workforce of 325 direct employees during peak season and 160 in low season, as well as 27 indirect and administrative personnel in 6 shifts. 70% of the plant capacity was assigned to hi-volume build to stock type of customers and the other 30% to low-mid volume build to order and custom made customers. Main processes included knitting, cutting, single hit and progressive presses, spot welding, liquid paint, curing ovens and furnaces, and assembly.

Before their time at Metex, Carlos served as Plant Manager at National Store Fixtures/ Interlake from January 2007 to December 2010. In this role, they were responsible for overseeing all plant operations including production, quality control, shipping, receiving, maintenance, and warehouse operations. Carlos also managed a team of production supervisors and trained new employees. Carlos has a proven track record of success in leadership roles in the manufacturing industry and is an expert in maximizing productivity while maintaining high standards of quality.

Carlos Chavez has a degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from UABC. Carlos also has a certification in Lean Manufacturing from SDSU and a certification in Six Sigma Green Belt from Invensys. Carlos is currently working on their Industrial Eng. certification from CETYS.
