Matt Lievertz

Matt Lievertz is the CTO at Cloverleaf. Matt has over ten years of experience in the software engineering field. Matt has worked at major companies such as U.Group, Zylo, and Blackboard. At U.Group, they were a group leader and software engineer responsible for building out Platform services for construction and launch of a new, highly-secure, multi-TB data pipeline at a major US Federal Agency. Some of their key accomplishments include architecting an extensible Terraform strategy for multi-team, multi-environment, multi-account Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC), writing Lambda functions in Golang to support alerting, and writing a custom Terraform Provider resource (Golang) to automate credential rotation.

At Zylo, Matt was a senior software engineer responsible for working on a wide variety of applications and features across the Zylo platform. Matt also provided technical leadership and mentorship to other engineers on the team.

At Blackboard, Matt was a senior software engineer on the DevOps team. Matt worked on automating deployments, monitoring infrastructure, and building developer tooling. Matt also helped maintain Blackboard's learn instance which served over 20 million users.

Matt Lievertz has a Master's degree in Information and Communication Science from Ball State University, as well as a Bachelor's degree in Business Innovation from the same school. Matt also has a B.L.A. in Architecture and Planning from Ball State University. Matt Lievertz is an Indiana Academic Honors recipient with a 4.0 GPA from the Indiana Academy of Science, Mathematics, and Humanities. Matt is also certified by Oracle as an Oracle Certified Associate, Java SE 8 Programmer, by the State of Indiana as a Section 106 Qualified Professional - Theirtoric Architecture, by Amazon Web Services as an AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Associate, and by Cisco as a Cisco Certified Networking Associate.

Matt Lievertz reports to Darrin Murriner, Co-Founder and CEO. Some direct reports include Moshe Sommers - Software Engineer, Josh Tomaino - Senior Software Engineer, and John Boyd - Business Intelligence Engineer. They are on a team with Joanna Harvey - Marketing Director, Dan Chaney - Finance Manager, and Kirsten Moorefield - Co-Founder & COO.
