Michael Ventarola has accumulated a wealth of experience in various IT roles throughout their career. Michael began working at IBM Corporation in 1995 as a Lead Unix System Administrator, where they stayed until 2006. After that, they joined Citigroup as an Assistant Vice President - Integration Engineer for a year. Ventarola then moved on to JP Morgan Chase in 2007, where they served as a Vice President until 2009. Following this, they worked at NYU as a Senior Linux Engineer for a few months in 2009. After NYU, they joined International Flavors and Fragrances as a Senior Infrastructure Engineer and later as a Senior Linux Engineer - Consultant in 2010. In 2011, they briefly worked at Merrill Lynch as a Sr. Linux Engineer - Consultant before transitioning to JPMorgan Chase, where they served as the Unix team Lead until 2014. Ventarola then joined TIAA-CREF in 2014 as a Tech Lead- Infrastructure until 2017. Currently, they are employed by CLS Group since 2017, starting as a Senior Infrastructure Analyst and later transitioning to their current position as a Senior IT Security Engineer.
Michael Ventarola attended Rockland Community College from 1981 to 1990, majoring in Computer Science. Michael obtained a certification in AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner from Amazon Web Services (AWS) in September 2022. In July 2020, Michael also acquired a certification in Cert Prep: CompTIA Security+ Exam (SY0-501): The Basics from LinkedIn. Additionally, they obtained Exam Tips: AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Associate certification from LinkedIn in January 2020.
