Head Of Medical Department at Club Brugge

Bruno Vanhecke has extensive work experience in the field of sports medicine and rehabilitation. Bruno is currently serving as the Head of the Medical Department at Club Brugge, a position they have held since July 2020. Prior to that, they worked as a Medical Doctor at Sport'R AZ Delta starting from March 2020. Bruno has also worked as a Medical Doctor in Sports Medicine and Physical and Rehabilitation Medicine at AZ Delta since January 2012. Bruno Vanhecke has served as a Scientific Advisor at the Epic Sports Summit and as a Secretaris at Gezond Sporten since January 2018. In addition, they have worked as a Sportarts at Inspiro since November 2016 and as a Medical Doctor at Basketbalclub Filou Oostende from January 2015. Starting from August 2006, Bruno Vanhecke served as the Head of the Medical Department at Cercle Brugge KSV until July 2020, and prior to that, they worked as a Medical Doctor for the same company from August 2006 to December 2011. Bruno completed a Fellowship in Sports Medicine at SSISA in 2011 and worked as a GSO in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at UZ Leuven from August 2009 to July 2011.

Bruno Vanhecke's education history begins in 1993 at Sint-Jozefinstituut Kortrijk, where they studied ASO Wetenschappen Wiskunde until 1999. Bruno then attended KU Leuven from 1999 to 2006, earning a Doctorate degree in Medicine. From 2007 to 2009, they continued their education at KU Leuven, obtaining a Doctorate degree in Manuele Geneeskunde. In 2006, they also began pursuing a Doctorate degree in Fysische Geneeskunde en Revalidatie, which they completed in 2011. Additionally, in 2010 and 2011, they attended KU Leuven to acquire a Master's degree in Sportgeneeskunde.
