Steven Kirton

Steven Kirton has extensive experience in procurement, risk management, and internal audit across various financial institutions. At Virgin Money UK PLC since January 2013, Steven holds the roles of Lead Procurement Systems and Support Services Manager and Lead Supply Chain Risk and Audit Manager, focusing on supplier partnerships within Group Procurement. Prior opportunities include positions at Northern Rock as Supplier Assurance and Governance Manager, and Barclays, where Steven served as Assistant Director in Internal Audit for Global Third Parties. There is also significant experience at Citi, where roles included Senior Audit Manager and Internal Control Manager, as well as early career experience at Citifinancial and Avco Trust. Steven holds a BA (Hons) in Business Management from the University of Sunderland, an MSc in Risk Management from Glasgow Caledonian University, and has further qualifications from the Institute of Risk Management and The Chartered Institute of Internal Auditors.
