Tanya Barnard

Tanya Barnard is an experienced insurance professional currently serving as Head Of Insurance at Virgin Money since October 2017, where responsibilities include managing the insurance business and a dedicated team. Prior to this role, Tanya held the position of Head of Travel Insurance, overseeing Travel Insurance, Travel Money, and International Money Transfer. Tanya's prior experience includes significant roles at American Express, where responsibilities included P&L management and strategic oversight of the UK Insurance Services business, as well as developing insurance marketing strategies. Earlier roles at Barclaycard focused on insurance strategy and commercial opportunities, alongside managing customer acquisition and retention campaigns. Tanya holds an MSc in Management and a First Class BSc in Mathematics and Sport Science from Loughborough University.
