Remco Magielse

Remco Magielse has a diverse work experience spanning over different companies and roles. Remco is currently working at CM.com as the Head of Product CPaaS R&D, responsible for leading the Messaging and Voice R&D Product teams. Prior to this, they served as the Product Portfolio Manager, overseeing the Messaging services and products, and as a Senior Product Manager, leading the Messaging Apps development team.

Before joining CM.com, Remco worked at Signify as a Sr. Global Product Manager and Global Product Manager for Smart Accessories for Philips Hue, where they played a key role in introducing new products to the market and setting the strategic direction for the portfolio.

Remco started their career at Philips Lighting B.V., where they held the positions of System Engineer Pre-Development for Philips Hue and Young Technical Professional as part of a high potential program. In these roles, they worked on developing new features and user propositions for Philips Hue, combining their creative skills and technology background.

Remco also gained valuable experience during their time at Yacht, where they participated in the Young Technical Professional program, and at Eindhoven University of Technology, where they worked as a Designer-researcher for their Ph.D. project on adaptive lighting environments.

In addition, Remco had freelance roles at Hemel Audiovisuele diensten, where they worked in video production, and at Horizon Design & Development, where they gained experience as a freelance designer and intern.

Remco Magielse's education history begins with their high school education at Gymnasium Juvenaat Heilig Hart, which they completed from 1998 to 2004. After completing high school, Remco enrolled in Eindhoven University of Technology.

From 2004 to 2007, they pursued a Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Design at Eindhoven University of Technology. Following the completion of their bachelor's degree, Remco continued their education at the same university.

Between 2007 and 2009, they obtained a Master's Degree in Industrial Design. Building on their academic achievements, Remco pursued further advanced education.

From 2009 to 2014, Remco Magielse was enrolled in the Eindhoven University of Technology's Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) program in Industrial Design/Systems design. This program allowed him to develop their expertise and delve deeper into their field of study.

Remco's educational journey also includes additional certifications beyond their formal degrees. In November 2018, they obtained the certification of "Certified SAFe® 4 Product Owner/Product Manager" from Scaled Agile, Inc.
