Bill Candella

Bill Candella serves as Vice President of Labor Relations for APL, part of CMA CGM (America) LLC, since August 2023. Prior to this role, Candella was the Director of Contract Administration and Arbitration at the Pacific Maritime Association from October 2017 to August 2023, where key achievements included driving technology initiatives and negotiating terminal automation agreements with unions. From June 2013 to October 2017, Candella worked at St. Joseph Health as the Director of Employee Advocacy and Labor Relations, focusing on labor relations strategy and collective bargaining. Candella's extensive experience in labor relations also includes a tenure as Senior Director of Labor and Employee Relations at The California State University, overseeing systemwide collective bargaining agreements and serving as a liaison with union leaders. Candella earned a J.D. from Southwestern Law School and holds a Bachelor's degree in Economics and Political Science from the University of Redlands, with additional education from the University of Edinburgh.
