Melanie Haro-Cortes

Melanie Haro-Cortes serves as an Advocate for Survivors of Assault and Violence at Claremont McKenna College, where responsibilities include providing 24/7 confidential support to victims and managing social media efforts to promote awareness and education around consent and support. Prior experience includes working as a Legal Assistant at Misbah Chaudhry & Associates PLLC, drafting immigration petitions and supporting Spanish-speaking clients, and serving as a Student Ambassador for Seeds of Fortune Inc., advocating for scholarship access and financial literacy among underrepresented students. Additional roles include Public Relations Intern at The Alliance and Social Media Marketing Manager at Comet, achieving significant growth in brand visibility. Currently pursuing an Associate of Arts and a Bachelor of Arts in Economics at Claremont McKenna College, education includes completion of secondary studies at Morton Ranch High School.
